Trout Fly Fishing
We in Kentucky are lucky to have an excellent Fish and Wildlife Department who provide us with multiple opportunities to fly fish for trout on a variety of water. Numerous creeks, ponds, rivers, and lakes are stocked across the state!
Most trout don’t hold over, bug hatches are not very plentiful, you might be better off floating what resembles a brown pellet! (Joking) Streamers or drifting some nymphs have been my best bet for productivity when fishing Kentucky trout waters!
It’s easy to find the list of trout waters in Kentucky, but to explore them takes time, something we all wish we had more of!
I will provide you with location information to some popular locations while teasing about others, leaving it up to you to find them!
